Currency

Coins in Grand El-Yador are made from a gold and silver alloy. They are called “crowns” because of the five-jeweled crown on one face. The opposite face depicts the royal seal of Grand El-Yador. The crown face is an homage to coins unearthed by the early tribes of El and Yador, the use of which facilitated the two tribes’ first commerce. The little trade that still happens in Valoris typically involves one farmer bartering for the goods of another. The Veil has no official currency—necessities are distributed equally to its residents. Whitehaven uses steel tokens stamped with the five-jeweled crown—a vestige of a time when the kingdoms traded freely. The Free People of Axis barter and trade in all types of coinage—whatever gives them the upper hand in a transaction.
